Jeffrey A. Tolley Orland City Council
"Actions speak louder than words"
"Actions speak louder than words"
As your servant, I represent you the people. First & foremost is my Faith. Without Jesus, I am nothing.
In today's society, everything else is more important than family. Let's get back to our roots, and put family first!
America was founded to have the people in power, not the government.
America is an immigrant country! Tolley's came from France to New York in the 1600s & then to Orland in 1900.
Orland is an amazing community! Small-businesses are the backbone of this town. We must accept growth, but keep our small-town values!
Orland is full of hard-workers that immigrate here from all over the world. We are diverse and full of great people!
Smaller government means more control for the people. Too much bureaucracy limits the free-market and means less freedom for businesses and people trying to make a living.
America is founded on the freedom to express our faiths how we wish, keeping government out of the way.
AMEN!
NO on 'Measure J'
Do you want to pay more taxes with high: inflation, groceries & gas prices? Higher taxes = less $ in your pocket!
I'm the only Councilman to vote NO on J. I represent you, and the vast majority I've talked to also say NO!
Also...
I'm the only NO vote on the Council stipend increase from $300 to $950 per month. That's your $, keep it!
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
I switched college majors from business to politics to get a liberal arts education and to better understand how the world operates. I interned for Supervisor Tracey Quarne in 2007 and worked with Grindstone Indian Rancheria for a Thanksgiving dinner. What a blessing!
Tolley Gardens has generational history in Orland. Many other families continue Orland's agricultural roots to keep food on our tables.
I'd love a skatepark in Orland! It is another outlet for youth, and it shouldn't take away from current programs. Orland taxpayers shouldn't pay all of this, but hopefully all funding comes from state grants.
